THE STORY Released on July 2, 1971 on Fly Records (BUG 10), “Get It On” / “There Was A Time / Raw Ramp” became T. Rex’s first UK No.1 and their biggest international hit. In the United States it was released as “Bang A Gong (Get It On)” and reached No.10 on the Billboard Hot 100, introducing the world to the irresistible charm and energy of glam rock.
