THE STORY 

Released in August 1985 on Marc On Wax (7 TANX 2), this 7" single featured a new ‘85 remix of “Sunken Rags” on the A-side, with “Jitterbug Love” and “Down Home Lady” on the B-side. The release reached No.124 on the UK Gallup chart for one week (w/e 17 August 1985). It was also issued as a 12" with an extended mix.

CONTEXT & NOTES 

This was part of the 1980s reissue campaign celebrating Marc Bolan’s legacy. The gatefold sleeve and remix made it attractive to collectors. The 12" version includes an Extended Monster '85 Mix of “Sunken Rags” and “Funky London Childhood” as an additional track.
