T. Rex (April 18, 2015) – Light Of Love Album: LP PD

---

Light Of Love was reissued on April 18, 2015 by Demon Records as a special Record Store Day release. Originally issued during T. Rex's mid-1970s period, the album reflected Marc Bolan's continued movement towards a more soulful and rhythm-driven sound while retaining the melodic hooks that had made T. Rex one of the biggest acts of the glam rock era.

This edition was produced as a 180-gram picture disc exclusively for Record Store Day 2015.

RECORDING

All tracks were written and produced by Marc Bolan.

The album brought together material associated with the Bolan's Zip Gun era and represented one of the final major studio projects released during Bolan's lifetime.

STYLE & THEMES

Light Of Love combines pop rock, funk, soul and glam rock influences.

The album demonstrates Marc Bolan's interest in American soul music and groove-oriented arrangements while preserving his distinctive songwriting style and vocal delivery.
