This edition presents the final official Marc Bolan and T. Rex studio album on 180g clear vinyl. Originally released on March 11, 1977, Dandy In The Underworld was conceived during a turbulent period in British rock music. The album appeared shortly after the emergence of punk rock through the release of The Damned's New Rose and the Sex Pistols' Anarchy In The U.K., recordings that helped establish a new musical movement.

To promote the album, Marc Bolan embarked on a tour of the United Kingdom and Europe. The Damned supported several concerts and openly acknowledged T. Rex as a major influence.

By the time the album appeared, Bolan had already achieved a UK hit with I Love To Boogie. Additional singles taken from the album included Dandy In The Underworld, The Soul Of My Suit and Crimson Moon. The period concluded with Celebrate Summer, which became the final single released during Bolan's lifetime.

Demon Records subsequently reissued the complete album on clear 180g vinyl, making it the first time the record had been available in this format.

RECORDING

The album was created using a revised T. Rex line-up during the latter stages of Marc Bolan's career.

The reissue presents the complete studio album in its original sequence and configuration
