THE STORY

By mid-1976, Marc Bolan had slimmed down to a trio format and was enjoying renewed chart success with the infectious rock ‘n’ roll-flavoured “I Love To Boogie”. This BBC session captured the band in energetic form during the tail end of the glam era, blending 1950s rock influences with Bolan’s signature boogie style.

CONTEXT & NOTES

This recording is part of T. Rex’s later BBC radio sessions as they transitioned through the post-glam period. “I Love To Boogie” became one of their most enduring and frequently played late-era hits, often highlighted for its fun, danceable groove and Bolan’s playful delivery.
