The Slider was reissued by Demon Records on May 26, 2017, as a special limited-edition silver vinyl release exclusive to Sainsbury's stores in the United Kingdom. Originally released in 1972, the album remains one of T. Rex's most celebrated recordings and a cornerstone of the glam rock era.

Issued on heavyweight silver vinyl, this edition offered collectors a distinctive presentation of one of Marc Bolan's most enduring albums.

Originally recorded during 1972 at Château d'Hérouville in France and Rosenberg Studios in Copenhagen, The Slider was produced by Tony Visconti.

The sessions continued the creative momentum established by Electric Warrior, combining strong melodies, powerful rhythms and sophisticated production techniques.

STYLE & THEMES

The Slider expanded upon the glam rock template created by T. Rex in the early 1970s.

The album balances chart-friendly singles with ambitious album tracks and remains one of Marc Bolan's most accomplished and influential works.
