T. Rex (November 17, 2023) – "Truck On (Tyke)" b/w "Sitting Here" Single: UK
Updated: Oct 4
Released on November 17, 2023, this limited edition 7" picture disc formed the third instalment in Demon Records' T. Rex 1973 campaign. The release accompanied a wider programme of archival projects that also included the Whatever Happened To The Teenage Dream? 5LP and 4CD box sets, alongside the Songwriter: 1973 LP.
As with the other releases in the series, the single was presented as a highly collectible picture disc featuring photographs drawn from the Keith Morris archive. The project revisited key T. Rex singles from 1973, presenting them in newly designed collector-focused editions.
The featured track, "Truck On (Tyke)", originally appeared in November 1973 and became a notable chart success in the United Kingdom. Although not among the group's highest-charting releases, it remained in the UK chart for eleven weeks and has continued to form part of the band's celebrated 1970s catalogue.
