T. Rex (October 12, 2018) – Dandy In The Underworld Album White Vinyl: 2LP

---

Dandy In The Underworld was reissued in 2018 by Demon Records and T. REX as a deluxe expanded edition of the final studio album released during Marc Bolan's lifetime. Issued as a numbered limited edition set, the release pairs the original 1977 album with a second LP containing singles, alternate versions and demo recordings.

The set was presented as a gatefold package featuring two 180g white vinyl records and was limited to 1,000 individually numbered copies.

RECORDING

The first LP contains the complete original Dandy In The Underworld album, while the second LP gathers associated non-album recordings, single versions, demos and alternative takes from the period.

The recordings feature a range of musicians who worked with Marc Bolan during the final phase of T. Rex, including Herbie Flowers, Tony Newman, Steve Currie, Davey Lutton, Dino Dines and Gloria Jones.

STYLE & THEMES

The album combines glam rock with elements of pop, soul and rock. Tracks such as "Dandy In The Underworld", "Crimson Moon", "I Love To Boogie" and "Celebrate Summer" showcase the polished late-period T. Rex sound, while the bonus material offers insight into the album's development through demos and alternate recordings.

The release was produced as a numbered limited edition and pressed on white 180-gram vinyl, with one disc containing the original album and the second containing bonus material.
