T. Rex (September 12, 2023) – Boston '72 (Limited Edition CDr)
Boston '72 documents a live T. Rex performance recorded at the Aquarius Theatre in Boston during the band's breakthrough American touring period. Issued as a limited-edition mail-order-only CDr by the Official Marc Bolan Merchandise Company, the release captures Marc Bolan and the classic T. Rex line-up performing material from the height of their early-1970s success.
The accompanying notes describe the impact of the group's Boston appearance, highlighting the intensity of the performance and the strong audience reaction generated by Bolan's stage presence and the band's powerful live sound.
A note on the release explains that Get It On was originally believed to be incomplete. After the sleeve artwork had already been prepared, a complete performance was discovered from an alternative concert recording source and subsequently included.
