RECORDING

The collection is assembled from surviving studio tapes and session recordings originating from the Tyrannosaurus Rex period.

The material includes alternate takes, early demos, false starts, overdub versions, session recordings and working performances, documenting the development of songs that would later appear on Tyrannosaurus Rex albums and singles.

The audio was cleaned and mastered by Anders Peterson at Ghost Sound Mastering & Post in Stockholm.

STYLE & THEMES

The recordings capture the band's psychedelic folk era, blending acoustic instrumentation, fantasy imagery and experimental songwriting.

As well as familiar compositions, the collection highlights the evolution of individual songs through multiple takes and alternate arrangements, providing a rare glimpse into Marc Bolan's songwriting methods.
