THE STORY The advert promotes a major open-air festival headlined by Bob Marley & The Wailers, with support from Country Joe McDonald & Fish, Eric


Burdon Band, Sutherland Bros. & Quiver, Pretty Things, Gloria Jones and Gonzales, Dirty Tricks, and compère Bob Harris.

CONTEXT AND NOTES 

This was part of Marc Bolan’s 1976 tour. The festival is remembered for heavy rain but still drew a large crowd and featured a strong lineup including Bob Marley’s notable UK performance.
