THE STORY

The colourful poster advertises one of the Netherlands’ first major pop/psychedelic festivals, with Tyrannosaurus Rex performing alongside other underground and experimental acts. The event, inspired by London’s 14-Hour Technicolor Dream, combined live music, art, and countercultural happenings.

This appearance marked one of Tyrannosaurus Rex’s earliest international shows during their psychedelic folk phase with Steve Peregrin Took. The “Flight to Lowlands Paradise” festival was a pioneering event in Dutch music history, organised by Utrecht artist Bunk Bessels, and helped introduce the band’s unique sound to a European audience.
