T. Rex (June 16, 2018) – Tanx HMV Vinyl Week Edition Album UK: 2LP

Tanx was reissued by Demon Records on June 16, 2018, as a special HMV Vinyl Week exclusive edition. Originally released in 1973, the album represented a transitional point in T. Rex's career and demonstrated Marc Bolan's growing interest in expanding beyond the classic glam rock formula.
This deluxe edition paired the original album with a bonus collection of contemporary singles, creating an expanded overview of one of the most creative periods in the band's history.

RECORDING.
Produced by Tony Visconti and written by Marc Bolan, the original album recordings date from 1973 and capture T. Rex during a period of artistic change.
The accompanying bonus disc collects key single releases from the same era, including several of the band's most recognisable recordings.
STYLE & THEMES
Tanx combines glam rock with elements of soul, pop, psychedelic rock.

The album presents a more varied musical palette than its predecessors, while the accompanying singles collection highlights the continued strength of Marc Bolan's songwriting during the period.
